Still using Windows XP? It's time for an upgrade
April 02, 2014
If you're still using Windows XP on your home or business computer, you'll need to take action to upgrade your operating system or risk compromising your online security.
As of April 8, 2014, Microsoft has said it will no longer support the decade-old operating system. This means you'll no longer receive automatic updates—including security updates—for Windows XP from Microsoft.
Without ongoing security updates, your computer may become vulnerable to computer viruses, spyware, and malicious software that could steal or damage your financial data and information. Certain viruses may compromise the security of your bank and financial accounts, including those at Vanguard. In addition, antivirus software will be unable to fully protect you once the operating system is no longer supported.
The privacy and security of our clients' account information are among Vanguard's highest priorities.
