Edit Watch List—Help

You can create up to 6 watch lists to monitor the performance of stocks, options, and mutual funds.

How to Edit Your Watch List Online

  1. To rename your watch list, type a new name into the text field next to Watch List Name at the top of the page (limit 30 characters).
  2. To indicate your default list, check Make this my default watch list.
  3. To add or remove a benchmark index, check or uncheck the box in front of the index.
  4. To change your list of securities, enter the symbols for new securities you want to track, or delete the symbols for the ones you want removed.
  5. To track options:
    • Go back to the My Watch List page.
    • Click the Stocks, Bonds, and CDs section from the top menu.
    • Enter the underlying ticker symbol in the Name/Symbol lookup box.
    • Click Go.
    • Click View options for this stock under the I want to... area of the stock profile page.
    • Find your option on this page and enter the exact symbol into the Symbol box on your watch list.
    • Add the number of contracts you want to track in the Number of Shares column.
  6. To create a more personalized view over time, enter optional data (number of shares, a purchase price, and a trade date) on your watch list.
  7. To review your list, click Save. If a symbol or name is not recognized, the closest matches will display in a window. Highlight the correct match, and then click Save.
